We would like to thank all of our Silent Auction Sponsors. Kilgour has always benefited from the strong support it receives from the local community. Kilgour Holiday Giving Tree
It's time again to show your Kilgour holiday spirit by giving generously to families in our midst who need some extra help. Last year the response was overwhelming, and you gave more than 110 gifts to children to brighten their season. Look for the tree in our front hallway again this year right after Thanksgiving. Take a tag (register it in the office) and get ready to feel some real holiday joy!  For information, contact Marty Garcia at 531-5551.

box_top__logo  Box Tops for Education
"And the winner is.......Mr. Jones' class!"  Mr. Jones' class brought in the most Box Tops for the first quarter of the 2011-2012 school year.  They will receive an awesome ice cream treat that will be brought to them at lunch time!  Would your child like their class to be the winner of the next Box Top Prize?  It is easy.  Tell everyone in your family to make sure and cut out the special Box Top logo from all specially marked boxes.  Even items you may not think about, such as certain toilet papers and juice boxes have the Box Top Logo.  Be sure to turn in all your collected Box Tops to the teacher before the end of the 2nd quarter.

Kilgour Fall Food Drive
Now through November 18th
Sixth grade Kilgour Girl Scout Troop #41096 is pleased to announce Kilgour’s annual Food Drive.  Now through Friday, November 18th, collection bins will be located in every classroom for canned and non-perishable food.  All collected food items will be delivered to Madisonville Education and Assistance Center. MEAC serves local families struggling to make ends meet. Last year MEAC distributed Thanksgiving dinners to 331 families. Thank you for your support!

Kilgour Night at Noodles in Hyde Park
Who eats dinner? It is probably safe to say that most of us do. Since you're eating anyway, why not turn it into a fun evening out while supporting Kilgour at the same time? We have our first restaurant fundraiser for this school year at Noodles in Hyde Park on November 15, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Come out to Noodles for dinner that night and tell them you are from Kilgour, and 25% of the restaurant's sales will be given to the Kilgour PTA. You are sure to see a ton of other Kilgour families and enjoy a delicious, quick meal.

Kilgour Staff Holiday Gift Fund
As the spirit of the holiday season is upon us, we just wanted to give you all a heads up before you go shopping over the Thanksgiving School Break, that we have decided to continue the tradition we began last year in celebrating the holidays with our wonderful faculty and staff here at Kilgour.  The Kilgour Staff Holiday Gift Fund is a monetary gift that will be given to each of our faculty and staff members. Each Kilgour Family will be asked to make a monetary contribution to the Gift Fund in lieu of purchasing individual gifts for their child(ren)’s teachers.  Please keep an eye out for the detailed letter and information that will be coming home the week of November 21st. If you have any questions regarding the holiday fund, please contact Barb Culbertson or Jane Dolan at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Our best wishes for a safe, happy and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!!!
