Join Us at the PTA's Centennial Celebration
Our annual fall Silent Auction is this Friday! Please join us from 7:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. at The Redmoor in Mount Lookout Square to bid on some amazing items at our silent and live auctions. Prizes include a stay at a Tuscan villa and a weekend getaway to Nashville, thanks to our own Mr. Jones. Bid early and often! You can also enter the raffle for the Sony PlayStation 3 system and Bose SoundDock Series II music player for your iPod. Cash bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, dessert and valet parking will be available. We hope to see you there!

Kilgour Directory Distribution
The Kilgour Directory has been distributed to all students. As a reminder, the Kilgour Directory is compiled and distributed for the exclusive use and convenience of the Kilgour School Community. The Kilgour Directory is not to be used for marketing or other mass/group promotions whose purpose extends beyond the immediate Kilgour School Community. We ask that you respect the privacy of your fellow Kilgour families. Any other use or distribution is strictly prohibited. Electronic copies of the directory are not distributed due to a greater likelihood of misuse of the information collected.

If there are any errors in your child’s entry or if you did not get your form turned in and would like to be included, a one-page supplement will be created and distributed before Thanksgiving. Please submit any corrections or additions no later than November 11 to Laura Deck at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Many thanks to PNC Bank, our partner in education, who paid for the printing of the directory, to Krieg Press, our printer and to Laura Deck for her tireless effort in compiling the directory information!

Thanksgiving Day Race Help Needed
Each year, the Thanksgiving Day Race donates money to Kilgour in return for our help. Volunteers are needed at the Running Spot for race registration on Monday, November 21, Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Lunch is provided each day. Volunteers are also needed on Thanksgiving morning at Paul Brown Stadium from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. If you can help, click on this link to sign up for a shift. Kilgour Fall Food Drive
Sixth grade Kilgour Girl Scout Troop #41096 is pleased to announce Kilgour’s annual Food Drive. Collection bins will be located in every classroom for canned and non-perishable food, as well as personal care items, starting Monday, November 7 through Friday, November 18. All collected food items will be delivered to Madisonville Education and Assistance Center. MEAC serves local families struggling to make ends meet. Last year MEAC distributed Thanksgiving dinners to 331 families. Thank you for your support!

Boy Scout Troop #114 Fundraiser
Help support the Kilgour Community’s Boy Scout Troop #114 this Election Day at our annual City Barbeque fundraiser. All you need to do to help us out is EAT! Come into the Hyde Park location in the Hyde Park Plaza near Kroger or the new Blue Ash location at the corner of Kenwood & Pfeiffer Road any time during the day, and present your Troop #114 Certificate with your order. The boys will receive 25% of all sales that are accompanied by a certificate on that day. Help us on our way to high adventure, as we learn skills and values to last a lifetime!

Kiglour Night at Noodles in Hyde Park
Who eats dinner? It is probably safe to say that most of us do. Since you're eating anyway, why not turn it into a fun evening out while supporting Kilgour at the same time? We have our first restaurant fundraiser for this school year at Noodles in Hyde Park on November 15, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Come out to Noodles for dinner that night and tell them you are from Kilgour, and 25% of the restaurant's sales will be given to the Kilgour PTA. You are sure to see a ton of other Kilgour families and enjoy a delicious, quick meal. A flier will come home on November 1, but mark your dinner calendars now for a night at Noodles.

Kilgour has a lot to showcase! Help us to do just that!
We know that there is a lot of good happening at Kilgour, and we want to make sure the Cincinnati community knows about it. If you are planning an event, such as a class-, grade- or department-level event, special guest presentation or other activity, work with Julie Anne Bauer, Kilgour PTA’s Public Relations Chair, to coordinate media coverage of your event. Please let her know about the event prior to it happening so she can plan accordingly.

If you hold the event and want to submit photos after, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Photos need to be sent in .jpg format and must be from a camera (smart phone photos will not reproduce well in print publications).
  2. ALL photos must be accompanied by a brief description of the event, including the date, and all students in the photos must be identified.
  3. All students in submitted photos must have signed photo release forms. The person who submits the photos will need to complete this check with the Kilgour office staff prior to photo submission.
For more questions or to contact Julie Anne about your upcoming events, please e-mail her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
