Participate in PTA Reflections!
Submissions due on November 6
The Ohio PTA holds an annual cultural arts program called Reflections. Children in preschool through Grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of art based on the year's theme which is "Let Your Imagination Fly!" To take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for our students, Kilgour plans to participate in the program for the first time in our history! Kilgour is looking for student participants to submit artwork for the Visual Arts category for the 2015-16 contest (one of six categories in which schools are eligible) for Grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 levels. Reflect on the theme. Create an original work. Be recognized. Submissions are due on November 6. For more information, please contact Kilgour's art teacher Emily Clyburn at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

  • The City maintenance and construction continues on Herschel Avenue. Please note the official cross walk in front of Kilgour school, along with the handicap areas have been restored to the appropriate locations. To help prevent accidents, students/parents are to cross at the CROSSWALK ONLY and not at the corner or end of the driveways. Please also note that when dropping off students, students are to be dropped off on the school side only to help prevent accidents and delayed traffic. At pickup time, students are to load the vehicle from the school side only and parents are to remain in the vehicle at all times.
  • Many thanks for your support and participation in our 2015 Costume parade (K-3) and Harvest Jam (grades 4-6). Despite our re-routing of the parade to our soccer field/playground area due to construction remaining out front of the school, the students, staff, and parents had a great time! Thanks also for signing in the main office and wearing your visitor badge. We continue to monitor our school security and with your cooperation we are able to maintain a secure environment for all.
  • The 2015 Silent Auction is quickly approaching on Nov. 13th! Purchase your tickets today!
  • Over the weekend I had the pleasure of observing 2 of our 3 soccer teams in the playoffs! I'm EXTREMELY proud of ALL our teams - playoffs or no playoffs! Kilgour students show their hard work on and off the field and should be congratulated on their hard work! Go Mustangs! Our boys' soccer team with the direction of Coach Bennett are heading to the next level of playoffs!!! Stay tuned for details.
  • School info - Information and updates with regards to Kilgour School comes in various forms, either thru the Principal updates sent via PowerSchool, Email Blasts from PTA, and Kilgour Synopsis (PTA newsletter). Please sign up for the Synopsis if you haven't already done so to stay abreast of school events and more.
